When Looking for a Church Home
God's people should not only belong to a local church,
but seek to function within that church as active members (Acts 2:42: 13:2; Hebrews 10:25). Here are some directives
that will help anyone who is looking for the right church.
1) The Right Doctrine.
The church is to be Bible-based, Christ-exalting, and soundly constituted. This is most important.
2) The Right Devotion.
Do the members love Jesus, each other, and the lost? Are they friendly? Are they endeavoring to win souls and
eagar to do so?
3) The Right Demand.
Does the church demand everything I am and have? Does it involve people, their service, their money, and their time?
Does it have high standards of purity, loyalty and honesty?
Jesus loves His church and gave Himself for it. He is building
His church on earth to one day present her to the Father without spot, wrinkle, or blemish. The Lord will give The
Right Direction when these three essentials are first and foremost in the heart and prayerfully considered.
